You provide us with personal data whenever you visit our website and use our various services. Data security is a high priority for us here at DBI IT, and below you can read some information about how we process the data that we collect whenever you use our website.

When does DBI IT collect personal data?

DBI IT collects three types of data about you whenever you visit our website or order our services, etc:

  • Personal data which you provide yourself when taking out a subscription for one of our services, creating a password, signing up to our newsletter or making a request for us to contact you, etc.
  • Technical information such as your IP address, details about what subpages you visit on our website, what browser you use to display our website, etc. See our Cookie Policy for more information on this.
  • Data which is necessary in order to sign documents, including your signature, certificates and authorisations.

These kinds of data are considered general personal data under the law. DBI IT does not collect or store so-called sensitive personal data

What information is collected?

The personal data which DBI IT collects can include details such as:

  • Name
  • Company address
  • Email address
  • Telephone number
  • Position
  • Login details

We also collect technical information regarding your behaviour on our website; e.g. your IP address, details about what subpages you visit on our website, what browser you use to display our website, etc.

 

What do you use the data for?

If your employer has taken out a subscription for our services, then it will be on this basis that we will collect your personal data. If you simply signed up to receive our newsletter or made a request for us to contact you, then we will use your personal data for this purpose. DBI IT processes your personal data for use in internal marketing surveys, targeted marketing and for the compilation of statistics. We also use personal data to send out our newsletters and to send out operational communications to our users; e.g. with regards to planned downtime or in cases where we are experiencing operational disruptions.

The legal basis for the processing of personal data

We require a legal basis in order to process your personal data and the legal basis we use will always be one of the following:

  • In order to deliver services to you in accordance with a subscription agreement that we have concluded with your employer organisation (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation)
  • In order to pursue our legitimate interests; for example in understanding how you use our services and our website in order to optimise and further develop our services (Article 6(1)(f) of the General Data Protection Regulation)
  • Collected consent; for example in order to send you newsletters or to use statistical cookies on our website (Article 6(1)(a) of the General Data Protection Regulation)

Transmission of your personal data by DBI IT

Your personal data will not be passed on to third parties unless you have specifically given your consent for this to occur. DBI IT will neither use nor forward your personal data for marketing purposes, including for the purpose of sending emails containing marketing content, unless you have specifically requested and accepted this.

DBI IT may, however, forward your personal data to government agencies or to other bodies to the extent required under applicable legislation or in the case that DBI IT is ordered to forward your data by a competent court.

Third countries

DBI IT will never forward your personal data to a third country (a country outside of the EU/EEA).

Third-party processing

DBI IT may choose to engage external data processors, including providers of web-hosting, security and storage services. Your personal data will in such cases be transferred to third parties who are instructed by DBI IT to process personal data on the behalf of DBI IT. Data processors may only process your personal data for the specific purposes for which the data have been originally collected.

DBI IT obliges all such data processors to process your personal data in a confidential manner and to take all appropriate technical and organisational security precautions to protect the data against accidental or unlawful destruction, loss or alternation, and from being disclosed to unauthorised parties, misused or otherwise processed in contravention of the Danish Personal Data Act.

Storage of personal data

DBI IT only stores your personal data for so long as they are necessary to fulfil the purposes for which the data were originally collected.

Protecting your personal data

DBI IT strives to protect the quality and integrity of your personal data to the fullest possible extent. DBI IT has implemented a number of security precautions for this purpose.

Your rights

You have a range of rights in relation to our processing of personal data about you. Please get in contact with us if you would like to exercise any of these rights. See contact details below.

  • The right of access:You are entitled to ask for information as to what personal data we process on you to the extent that you have not already been given such information. You can also view these data in your GDPR control panel under the 'My Profile' tab on the website.
  • The right of rectification:You are entitled to have inaccurate personal data about yourself corrected without undue delay following request.
  • The right to erasure:In certain cases, you may be entitled to have personal data about you deleted before such time as we would ordinarily delete such data in accordance with our procedures.
  • The right to objection:In certain cases you are entitled to object to our processing of your personal data.
  • The right to data portability:You are entitled to receive your personal data in a structured, commonly used and machine-readable format and to have these personal data transferred from one data controller to another without hindrance.
  • Withdrawal of consent:If we are processing your personal data on the basis of your consent, you are entitled to withdraw such consent at any time. You can always contact us (see below) for further information as to how you can withdraw your consent.
  • You can withdraw your consent to receive our newsletters either via the emails that you receive from us or via the GDPR control panel under the 'My Profile' tab on the website.
  • You can withdraw your consent to the use of statistical cookies via the GDPR control panel under the 'My Profile' tab on the website.
  • If you withdraw your consent we will cease to process your personal data unless we are entitled or obligated to continue to process your personal data on a different legal basis. Withdrawing your consent shall not affect the legality of any processing which was undertaken prior to the time at which your consent was withdrawn.

The right to lodge a complaint

If you are dissatisfied with the manner in which we process your personal data or the purposes for which we process your data, then you are welcome to contact us.

Would you like your data changed?

Send an email tosupport@dbi-it.dkand write Privacy Policy in the subject heading if you would like us to rectify, amend or delete personal data that we have collected about you or if you would like to withdraw consent that you have previously given.

We only use cookies to a limited extent on our website, but we are unable to avoid cookies entirely. Read more in our Cookie Policy.

Changes to our privacy policy

We reserve the right to amend and update this policy in connection with any changes to legislation, new technical solutions, new or improved functions or in order to improve our website.
